29. Assssspirations!

I would really love to learn Russian but I can tell you right now that that's probably not going to happen. So I'd like to perfect my Spanish.
Read lots of good books. Maybe read the Harry Potter books...?
Learn how to paint and also ceramics.
Bake and bake and bake until the day I die.
Try lots of new things.
Go on a mission.
Open a bakery with my Mama!
Marry a huge hunk named Jimmer...Fredette.......
Live in a house built by my grandpa with Abby and Boo as my next door neighbors.
Fill the house with the gospel, children, dogs, food, books, love, music, fabulous leopard print decor, and Christmas.
Oh, and one more thing. Get 5 stars on every song on Just Dance 2 except Monster Mash. I will never play that song.

26, 27, 28.

Fears.
I don't watch scary movies and I don't go to haunted houses or haunted ships or haunted mazes or anything like that. Snakes are my number one fear. Another thing I fear is looking back on my life and saying "Wow, I really wish I would have_____." It's so cliche, but so real to me. Hence why I'm in Russia. I didn't want to let the opportunity pass me by. And tomorrow I am going to a huge flea market in Moscow and I will have to take the metro and I am really really scared but I am so excited. I think facing fears is a huge part of life because unless you do then...what's the point? But the snake thing. That's different. I'll never face that and I don't mind not facing it. Really don't feel like I'm missing out on that one.

Favorite place.
Seriously anywhere in America!!! Just kidding. The Outer Banks is probably my favorite place. Keep in mind I've never been to Hawaii. But honestly any time I'm with my family, that's my favorite place. Never a dull moment.

Something you miss.
Oh, where do I even begin?! Let me tell you...you really don't know what you got 'til it's gone. But let's just ignore the Russia thing for now because that would be so annoying if I was like my roommates, my family, my friends, my social life, my dog, in-n-out, cafe rio, costa vida, pizza, corn dogs, red mango, dairy queen, the grocery store, BYU, football, the sunshine, temperatures above zero degrees, President Obama, good ice cream, Abby, going out, boys, AMERICA.

I miss my friends who are on missions. Truly. I like to do this thing where I'm like (let's take Phil for example because he left last) "Oh, so I'll get back from Russia, then live it up in summertime, then school will start, then it will be my birthday, Thanksgiving, then Christmas, then school starts again, then school will be over, then summertime and swimming and fun times and then he will be home! It's practically days away!" Right. But it actually kind of works because I think back to one year ago (Casey's baptism, going home for the weekend with Emily and Abby, Britton coming to Utah to visit, the ultimate fun dance party) and I can remember so much about it and it feels like yesterday. So it's not so bad!

Let's be real. The reason I'm blogging is because it's Friday night and I have nothing better to do than gorge myself, plan my wedding, listen to Radiohead, watch Gossip Girl, and attempt to write letters to missionaries. Actually, I suppose I could start reading Great Expectations. I've finished 3 books since I got here and there's no stopping me now! And call me crazy but I've really been itching to read Gone With the Wind again.

25. A first.

The first time I played the Wii was at Jodi's house...and I was terrible at it, but it was really fun because our friends were there. We had the coolest friends. The end.

In other news, I really love this song. Soo catchy and I just kinda smile and groove and listen to it over and over again. But I try to sing along with the spelling part and I just end up spelling...LIFGEOESON. I wish my mouth would have spelled something more revealing...like a secret my brain has been keeping from me.

I hope you are all having a blast in America. Happiest place on earth.

24. Something that makes you cry.

One time someone texted me and said, "Hey, you're really rude and also you think you're better than everyone else. That's why we're not friends anymore!"

One time for some reason our family history record on our computer accidentally said I was adopted. And I started throwing a fit. My parents eventually stopped trying to convince me I wasn't adopted, and they played along. They told me my real name was Hilary.

One time I did something bad and I cried basically the entire next day.

One time when I first got to college I couldn't talk to my dad on the phone without crying.

I am a very dramatic person...and when I cry, I cry big. When I was little and I would cry my parents had to make sure I couldn't see myself in a mirror because I would just stand there and watch myself cry and cry harder and harder and harder. Once they kept me away from the mirrors, I just started looking at my reflection in shiny doorknobs instead. I don't really cry in movies or books, especially if there are people around. Admittedly, Meet Joe Black made me cry. But that was just a weird night, I think.

And right now I can't sleep...and I might just cry!

23. Something that makes you feel better.

This. Boy. Right. Here.

Seriously. I die every time and I'll never get over it.
Not a belieber? Read Emily's post.

22. Something that upsets you.

Ha. Lots of things upset me. Like...probably a million things. It's something I'm working on, keeping in mind that if I let fewer things bother me, I will be happier. Changing is always hard though, you know.

I'm not going to rant about something that makes me raging mad. That would probably hurt someone's feelings, and although I consider myself to be pretty much uncut/unrated/uncensored, I don't like to hurt people's feelings.

One of the things that upsets me most is when I feel that I can't sing. This doesn't happen very often because I feel that for the most part I can sing anytime, anywhere; however, there are three places where I usually keep my mouth shut and rock back and forth, rubbing my arms like a psycho to soothe myself.

AIRPLANES
THE LIBRARY
THE GYM

I don't know which is the worst because I guess it depends on the day. But one time on an airplane I was listening to Taylor Swift on my ipod (TIP: If you have a problem keeping yourself from bursting into song, TSwift is not a good idea. Trust me!) and I wanted to sing so bad. I literally had to plaster my hands over my mouth to keep myself from singing. Then I whipped out my notebook and started drawing the lyrics. It helped.

I have accidentally started singing in the library before. On accident. I forgot where I was, okay? But my problem is especially nagging when I stalk someone else's iTunes library and find show tunes I really love. One time this girl had Ragtime and I listened to the whole thing and I don't think I sang a note. Talk about self-mastery!

And sometimes I just get so pumped on the treadmill I want to scream and shout my awesome jams and do fist pumps and stuff (you know the feeling) but, alas. Social norms.

21. Another moment.

Tonight I was talking to my parents about what I am probably forgetting to take to Russia. My mom gave the phone to my dad and we were talking...and you know how dads are, he basically told me that I probably wasn't forgetting anything and it didn't go much further than that.

Anyway, after that I was like "Oh, hey mom and dad let me tell you this funny story about what happened to me last night!" And I proceeded to tell them how these boys from the U of U came over last night and rang our doorbell, pretended they were BYU students administering a survey for their sociology class, and ended up taking us to Brick Oven Pizza for their fraternity's activity called "catch a cougar." Basically 'cause there's no cute girls at the U, them LDS frat boys come down to Provo and run around tricking girls into going on dates with them.

So I thought it was pretty funny and random. But my dad...not so much. They could have kidnapped me and killed me. I CAN'T JUST DATE STRANGERS BECAUSE THEY SAY THEY'RE FROM AN LDS FRATERNITY!

And he was totally right.

20. This month.

I loved this month. Seriously.
If January is any indication of how 2011 will be for me, then I am so there.
But I guess you never can tell.
Anything can happen. Life is so unpredictable.
And so awesome.

19. Something you regret.

I'm going to write a book.

Pretty sure Abby came up with the title.

18. Your favorite birthday.

To be perfectly honest, birthdays 15-18 mostly sucked. Can you imagine four sucky birthdays in a row? No. You can't.

But when I look at pictures from my Sweet 16 and really think about it, that was probably one of my favorite birthdays for a few reasons.

-Sweet 16. Such a magical birthday.
-My first birthday in Richland.
-The invitations were awesome. I literally invited everyone I knew.
-Boo was there visiting.
-At this point, my dad was still living in Chicago and working while the rest of us were living in Richland, and my dad flew out for my birthday.
-I looked awesome.
-My friends that were at my party were the most awesome friends ever.
-I sang "Drop It Like It's Hot" karaoke...
-I had three cakes over the birthday weekend.

My Birthday Party

My favorite picture of myself that happened like that night or something. Britton hoodied me.
Family Party with Quinn. His birthday is the day after mine. Cute.
Sunday dinner at the Larsens'.

17. Your favorite memory.

PS I live with the NERD HERD.

16. Your first kiss.

My first kiss was in first grade. And it was magical. I think we were playing Cinderella at recess and anyway, my best friend tagged along and me and the boy went behind one of the trailers at Orem Elementary and we smooched. I think he called me at my house the next day which I was excited about but also weirded out by.

So I decided to facebook stalk said first kiss boy today and I learned a few things. (I tried to add him once before but he denied my friend request...guess he didn't remember the magic.)

1. He is on a mission. Bravo, kissy boy.
2. He's still cute.
3. He has dogs.
4. HE'S AN AMAZING PHOTOGRAPHER. Like, shut up.

So at this point I'm like kicking myself for not marrying him behind that trailer. But then I notice something else...

5. He's a U of U fan.

We would never see eye-to-eye.
I ended up finding a lot of my first grade friends on facebook when I was stalking him and one girl like plays tons of shows in Provo and Utah Valley. Hey, friend. Who knew you would grow and afro and become a superstar sensation and valedictorian @ Mountain View?

14. What you wore today.

1. Look at my hair. That should give you a good idea of what I wore this morning and afternoon...sweats and a t-shirt. PS I love Ryder and Mason and Golden Spoon. Mason took the picture. He's a good photographer.

2. Abby is also a good photographer.

3. Legging jeans- Gap. $30. (It was a very special day at Gap where all the jeans were 50% off. I love those days.)

4. Nail polish- OPI "Tease-y Does It." Gifted.

5. Tie-dye shirt- Hanes V-neck that I tie-dyed last year in the middle of the night. Probably like $1 for the shirt. And someone else bought the tie-dye.

My hair is all mine. Made by me. You can't buy that gloriousness anywhere.

11. Your siblings.

Over winter break I didn't really leave the house...these kids are all I need.

Montgomery house, 2005. The cheeks!
Mexico, 2009.
Richland house, Summer 2010. (Minus Carter.)
Disneyland, November 2010.

My kids are going to have the coolest uncles and aunt on the planet.
I LOVE YOU, MCKAY, CARTER, CHLOE, AND QUINN.

10. What you wore today.

I wore four outfits today, as per usual. One to LaRee's, one running, one after I went running, and...loungewear? I wore this pink v-neck most of the day except for when I ran. I got it for $5 at VS and it is chugggggggy. Here is one of the few fashion tips I will ever give: bathrobes make you look fat and pregnant. Should you still wear one? Yes. Should you have your photo taken in one? Yes, yes, 20 times yes.

Hey now, fashion is not totally lost on me. Look at the cute pictures I took of Hilary for her day ten post!

8. A moment.

One time I met Aaron Carter when I was on vacation in Florida in 7th grade.

My dad asked me to go down to the lobby of our hotel and get him a newspaper. I got him the wrong paper or the wrong sections or something so he made me go back.

I took my brother Quinn with me, who was just a wee baby at the time.

When I was walking to the elevator I saw a bunch of teenagers getting in and I was like OHHH GREAT I'M AN EMBARRASSING PRE-TEEN. But they were really nice and held the door for me and errthang. The elevator was crowded, though.

I heard a voice. "What floor?"
"7." I think it was 7.
It sounded like Aaron Carter, and I knew he had a concert in the area that weekend so being the optimist that I am, I gave him a second glance. Yes, the pimply greasy boy wearing a t-shirt and flannel pajama pants was, in fact, Aaron Carter the boy wonder.

I stepped out of the elevator, turned back, and said "Are you Aaron Carter?" as the doors were closing. His friend did a dramatic karate kick to keep the door from closing, and Aaron stepped out. He said, "Want a hug?" And hugged me and kissed Quinn on the head (I tell Quinn that's why his hair is red) like he was Prince William or something. We saw him a couple of times again because he was obviously staying in out hotel, and my mom inadvertently photobombed a picture his parents had taken of them on the beach. Good times.

HOT STUFF.

7. Your best friend.

I have a lot of best friends, but this post is about Boo. These pictures are not in order because I'm seriously so lazy.

Elizabeth Therese Gausselin is the perfect best friend.
The first time I saw her was at the D.A.R.E. lock-in in 6th grade, the last year of elementary school. Boo went to a different school than I did and so when she and her friend were dancing with the cute boys from my school, I thought she was a skank. Fast-forward to 7th grade. Boo and I were in the same music class and she had a huge crush on my neighbor, so we talked about that. And that's when we became friends. Then in 8th grade in our US History class we could make hard tack for extra credit, so Boo and I teamed up and I went to her house for the first time and we had a blast and we have been BFF ever since.

My favorite thing to do with Boo is eat dinner and sleep over at her house, go get ice cream at Every Day's a Sundae, rent five movies from Blockbuster, watch one but fall asleep during it, and sleep in the next morning. I love her house and her family is my family.

I seriously could go on forever about the things we've been through together. I wish I could blog every memory because I love thinking about all our fun times. I also wish I had my yearbooks so I could copy down what she wrote in mine because she is always good at being sentimental without being disgusting and mushy.

I'm naming one of my daughters Elizabeth, and we're going to live next door to each other when we grow up.

Last year in my Career Exploration class we had to talk about our greatest accomplishment. My greatest accomplishment is staying in contact with Boo and remaining best friends and seeing each other after I moved and in college and through everything. I would do anything for this girl. I love you, Boo! Sorry for the embarrassing pictures.
