Disneyland WOES

So here I am, going about my absolutely LOVELY day.

I went to bed early, woke up at a decent time. I look cute. I ran into Shayla on campus. I had a great time and learned a lot in class. The weather is beautiful. Walt Whitman inspired me. I don't have a headache anymore. Charzie and I are laughing at all the old people commercials on TV.

So I get on facebook. (First mistake. Nothing good ever comes from getting on facebook.) My mom had written on my wall, something about "Look at these pictures from Carter's football game blah blah!" Naturally, I go to her facebook page to find said pictures and clap my hands for my little brotha sacking some fools. I DON'T FIND THE PICTURES. WHAT I DO FIND...is...shocking.

Bonnie Stanfield Mitchell Insomnia at 3am = WE'RE GOING TO DISNEYLAND!

At first, I thought it was a joke. You know how when a team wins the Super Bowl they say all say "I'm going to Disneyland!" I thought...Carter's football team won the Super Bowl or something. But I started to read the comments...and it's true. "WE" are going to Disneyland.

But don't you think my mom should have written "HEY WE'RE GOING TO DISNEYLAND" on my wall instead of TROLOLO FOOTBALL PICTURES?

This can only mean one thing. She was avoiding the subject, and...

They're going without me.

That's right. After all these years...After all the joy I've brought to my family!

I tried to call my mom, but she didn't answer. She knows what's up. SHE KNOWS WHY I'M CALLING! Avoid avoid avoid avoid avoid the question.

So I'm assuming that I'm left out of this little family adventure to the happiest place on earth. And until I hear from my mother, I'm just going to cry.

  2. My family did this to me last year. They thought it would all be okay if my dad took me on a business trip to Vegas with him for a day. A DAY. Yeah, we stayed in the Belagio, saw the Cirque de Soliel show "O" and I had my first filet mignon... But I missed Mickey. I missed the beach boys music that plays as you walk through California adventure, eating a free tortilla. I missed the chocolate covered bananas and princess costumes at every corner.
It was a sad realization that I am now an adult.
