SWEET 16

April 7, 2010 is my little brother McKay's 16th birthday.

Oh my hell.

First of all, let me just say that this kid is my hero. He is hilarious, kind, and adorable. He has the ability to make me laugh always. Not very many people can do that. In fact, I can't think of another. We're two and a half years apart to the day. (Sooo tomorrow is my half birthday :))

He's never afraid to be himself...I wish I could find the picture I have of him shoveling the snow in shorts, a headband, sunglasses, and snow boots, but I can't. He is the perfect balance of obnoxious hilarity and silent hilarity.

One time, he and my dad were going to a priesthood meeting for our ward. They came home, and McKay had worn fleece sweats to the meeting...with a belt, shirt, tie, and church shoes. He said that usually these meetings are just broadcasts, and they were running late, so he figured they could just walk in and sit down in the back and it would be dark. Nobody would see his sweats. NBD. As you may have guessed, it wasn't a broadcast, and McKay and my dad walked in to the meeting late, all the lights were on, and everyone saw Click in his sweats.

McKay is totally independent. He used to play football, but apparently he didn't like it, so he doesn't play anymore...despite any pressure from me or my family. This trait sometimes gets him into trouble, but personally I think it's pretty awesome.

He came up with a scheme once. It was his supposed "life plan." He was going to drop out of high school when he turned 16, (I really hope he doesn't), study for the BAR exam for two years, and then take it at age 18 in California, and become an attorney...Yeah. He's great.

The picture of us on the lawn was one of my last days at home before I came to school. We decided to sleep outside one night and watch the meteor shower, and we had tons of snacks and it was so fun.

One time, when we were in the car, Lady Gaga came on the radio.
Me: "Oh my gosh, please change the station."
McKay: "No, don't. We have the same MOJO."

I miss my brother.

I love him. He's the best.

P.S. I remember my 16th birthday. Like vividly. It creeps me out that it was two and a half years ago..................feels like yesterday.
