Yesterday I had something to blog about but I had forgotten what it was. Now I remember.

The snobbiest, rudest, most stuck-up woman ever is in my humanities class. She sits right in front of me.

At first I just noticed that she would whisper to her husband a lot during lectures. Then I began to notice that she was basically explaining to him why everything the professor said was incorrect.

Yesterday was THE worst, and it made me realize that she really is very snarky.

She and said hubby trapse in about ten minutes into class. We had just been introduced to Neo-Classicism, and the teacher showed a picture and asked if the structure was Greek or Roman-inspired. Since this was a brand new concept to most of the class, there was some mumbling and guesses, but nobody was really giving a straight answer. Miss Thang shouts out in her very rude tone. "ROMAN! It's. Roman." She sits and fans herself with a paper, and her husband fans her as well.

Next, we were shown a picture of Jefferson's Monticello. If you haven't seen it...

My professor asked what we thought about the combination of Georgian and Neo-Classic architecture in this building, if we liked it or not. The girl next to me raised her hand and said politely that she thinks it's an interesting combination, and she does like it, but that she thinks it's a little awkward etc etc. In the middle of this girl's comment, Sassy McGee shout-whispers "WHAT!" and with her mouth gaping open, her hand shoots into the air.

"IIIIII THINK THAT THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL BUILDINGS IN AMERICA BLAH BLAH BLAH IT'S NOT AWKWARD JEFFERSON DESIGNED IT HIMSELF WITH NO ARCHITECTURAL EXPERIENCE YADDA YADDA."

Oh. My. Wow. Listen, missy. You can share your opinion. But you don't have to interrupt people, and you don't have to be so damn rude! Come on! Get a grip!

And then we took a little quiz, and we were going over the answers. One of the answers was Tudor. And everyone seemed to agree on it. But of course, SHE raises her hand and says, "I put 17th century english medieval. So is that acceptable?" The teacher is very confused, because guess what...he has never said those words in this class. Ever. He basically tells her no, and she bickers blah blah no points for you, lady.

So to you, my dear Miss Sassy Pants, I say:

Why would you put 17th century english medieval for your answer, if we have never discussed that form of architecture? It was pretty clear to everyone else what the answer was because we talked about Tudor style extensively in class. I'm so glad that YOU know SO MUCH MORE about EVERYTHING than EVERYONE ELSE including the PROFESSOR, but shut up. Seriously...shut up. Your attitude is not conducive to a good learning environment! Maybe everyone else who is trying to learn something new is scared to get shot down by YOU, of all people, if they ask a question or share their thoughts. WHY ARE YOU EVEN IN THIS CLASS? Do you even need to take it? Is it because your husband is taking it? It seems like maybe you already know everything. So.......just go away. Please? Or be nice. Thanks!
